Herbs A-F

Agrimony :  Folk-Lore-Bladder, stomach disorders, wounds                     Magical- Removes Negativity, protection and sleep                              
Anise Seed

Blessed Thistle: Folk-Lore- Arthritis, blood purifier, depression, headaches, female problems, kidneys. Magical- Strength, protection, hex breaking, healing

Bilberry Leaf:  Folk-Lore:  Blood Thinner, diarrhea, infections, urinary problems. Magical-Protection

Boneset: Folk-Lore:  Colds, Flu, Indigestion, Fever. Magical:  Protection and Exorcism

Bee Balm:  Folk-Lore:  Colds, headaches, insomnia, relaxant.  Magical- Money and clarity

Black Tea:  Magically speaking, black tea helps to strengthen rituals when mixed with different herbs.  For prosperity: you could use pine needles, orange peel, black tea and basil.  Burn them in a cauldron or fire proof container.

Chaste Berries:  Chasteberry also known as Vitex has been used since ancient times as a female remedy.  Folklore myths suggest that Chasteberry has the same effect on women as Saltpeter has on men.  Chasteberry/Vitex has been used for such things as:  Amenorrhea, PMS and has shown reduction in anxiety, nervousness, insomnia and moods all associated with PMS.

Coltsfoot:  Folk-Lore: Coltsfoot, sedates the cough reflex and aids with wheezing, this herb mixes well with marshmallow.  You can also moisten Coltsfoot and place it on insect bits and stings.  Magical-Used for Love and visions

Chamomile: Folk-Lore: Chamomile is used as an relaxant, calming nerves, sleep, skin tonic.  A tea infusion can also be used for a rinse for Blonde hair and an infusion can also be placed in a bottle and used as a tone. Magical- Used for calming and attracting money.

** If you are allergic to Ragweed avoid using Chamomile**

Catnip: Folk-Lore, Catnip is used for Insomnia, sedative, mild nerve stimulant. Magical-Cat Magic, love beauty and happiness

Elderberry (Whole)  Folk-Lore-Used for headaches, kidney, skin conditions and congestion. Magical-Prosperity, sleep, protection, healing.
